Full Description

An isolated pit recorded during a watching brief by CFA in 2011 during topsoil stripping for a gas pipeline. It measured 2.5m by 2.5m and the fill contained large quantities of shattered rock, most likely the remains of a large rock blasted in recent times for field clearance. All of the finds from the pit were post medieval in date.
