Full Description

A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by MAS in 2007 ahead of housing development. A single trench 90m long and 2m wide was excavated. It showed that the area had been previously been stripped to natural subsoil and then made up with a mixture of rubble and redeposited natural soil to a depth between 0.7 and 1.2m. No archaeological features or finds were recorded.
