Full Description
Supposed site of Roman road, said to have run northwest from Brandsbutt. It is depicted at this location on the 1st edition OS, but there is no trace on the ground of any kind of road. Trial trenching within this field in 2025 (NJ72SE0458) noted a compact gravel deposit in one trench which may possibly relate to an early road, but this was north of the indicated line of the road and may equally be of natural origin.
