Full Description

Site of a stone cist, which was found in this vicinity in 1843. It was composed of five stones, and measured 1.2 m by 0.61 m with cap stone 1.5 m by 0.91 m. It contained an urn (described by the New Statistical Account of 1845 as a 'Roman' urn) with ashes and some decomposed human bone. The present whereabouts of the urn is not known.
