Full Description
Two evaluation trenches excavated out by CFA in 1996 ahead of the A96 Kintore bypass. The one on the northwest side of a natural outcrop between Coolgardie and Boghead Croft uncovered five small pits were recorded, none of which contained any artefacts. The trench on the southeast side of the outcrop revealed a large shallow irregular pit which contained angular stones, a sherd of decorated pottery and three flint flakes, including a scraper. The sherd may be of Late Bronze Age date.
