Full Description
A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by MAS in September 2014 ahead of proposed development. A total of 9 trenches were excavated. Two small possible post pits were recorded in Trench 1, but there was no indication of date. Trench 2 uncovered a pit containing several sherds of Bronze Age pottery. An extension of the trench revealed no further features. Furrows of rig and furrow cultivation were also identified in some of the trenches, thought to be 18th century in date.
