Full Description
Site of a cairn which is depicted on the OS 1st edition map, described as an artificial mound in the northeast corner of Whytnie Wood, said to have been a place of execution. There is now no trace and presumed to have been destroyed during construction of Boyndie airfield (NJ66SW0031). Walkover survey in 2004 in advance of windfarm development found no trace on the surface.
