Full Description
A linear ditch feature excavated by CFA in 2019, following on from identification of features during a watching brief within the cable route corridor for the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm (NJ66SE0330). The ditch ran across the cable corridor from the northwest, measuring 0.7 m widening to 1.2 m to the southeast, with a V-shaped profile 0.37 m deep, truncated to the southeast by an erosion channel or field drain. The feature correlates to the line of a channel for a well at Lochside (NJ66SE0118) depicted on the historic OS maps. No archaeological finds were recorded.
