Full Description
Site of a circular enclosure. Two circular encampments were described by the New Statistical Account (1845). The OS Name Book (1866) describes only one of these as being 90 links in diameter, noting that nothing was known of the second. The area is now a disused quarry, and there is no trace of enclosures.
