Full Description

Possible site of a motte. 'Monte de Magy', the monte probably being a motte, is mentioned as the messuage of Sir Alexander Dunbar of Westfield in a charter of 1505. The site is presumed to be on the farm of Castlehill. W D Simpson thought the site was probably in the northeast corner of an arable field, where stones and lime have been ploughed up.
