Full Description
Site of a castle. Balravie Castle is traditionally said to have been built by one of the Stewarts, Earls of Buchan, but unknown which. The ruins were levelled and the swamp, on which it stood, cultivated. Now no ground trace of any part of the building or ditches, though vertical aerial photographs still show a slight trace. Name still known.
