Full Description

Site of cists. An 1859 source records that various graves have been found, paved in the bottom with boulders, and some containing bones and earth. Also that two 'hammers', of hard clay, were found nearby while digging the foundations of a new building in Orchard Park, Mountblairy. One of these 'hammers' has a perforation through one extremity. Measurements: 165mm in length by 101mm in breadth and 88mm thick. These are possibly loom weights. Orchard Park cannot be located now.
