Full Description
Three pits excavated by CFA in 2019, following on from identification of features during a watching brief within the cable route corridor for the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm (NJ66SE0330). An elongated sub-oval pit with irregular sides had a fill containing charcoal and hazelnut shell. A small circular pit with a concave profile was heavily truncated. A rectangular pit with near vertical sides, a flat base, had a fill of loose stones and charcoal. No definitive interpretation or dating was possible for these features, though due to proximity with other features (NJ65NE0155, NJ65NE0156, NJ65NE0157) they are probably contemporary with them.
