Full Description
A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by CFA Archaeology in November 2018 within the corridor of a pipeline route, in an area of recorded cropmarks (NJ65NE0019). Nineteen trenches were excavated. The natural subsoil was varied with patches of softer sand or gravelly sand which may be the source of some of the cropmarks. A single linear feature recorded was considered unlikely to be archaeological. No other features or artefacts were identified.
