Full Description
Site of a manor and an architectural fragment displaying the Crichton coat of arms. After the death of the 4th Viscount Frendraught, his title was assumed by his cousin George Crichton of Auchingoul in 1698. A stone displaying a Viscount's crest and the Crichton crest may have come from this house and probably dated from 1698. It is mentioned again in 1702. It is now in the farmhouse of Auchingoul as a chimneypiece but was probably originally a dormer pediment. There is now no trace of the earlier building.
