Full Description

Site of a chapel. St Carnoc presided over Candida Casa about the middle of the 5th century. The New Statistical Account (1845) records that the remains had then 'lately to be seen'. No trace of the chapel or churchyard remain and the site is now occupied by a market garden. A possible rough stone water stoup, broken into three fragments, was found just to the south of the published site. There is no sign of any structure or other feature in recent ploughsoil.
