Full Description
Site of a ring enclosure. OS Name Book (1871) records that on top of the hillock was a substantial enclosure of stones and earth, but that no vestige remained. Originally a heap of stones stood near centre (possibly a cairn) and whilst clearing these stones human remains, 'bronze implements of war', and finger-rings were found. OS site visit 1964 found no trace. A faint cropmark is visible on a vertical aerial photograph taken in 1977 at this location.
