Full Description
A small farmstead and enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition OS map as a rectangular building with a small attached enclosure. By the time of the 2nd edition map the building had been enlarged to form an L-plan. The footings of this L-plan building are visible on a vertical aerial photograph taken in 1977. Visited in 1999 by RCAHMS who noted that the range has been reduced to a pile of rubble in a cultivated field. No trace of the building was found during walkover survey by S Farrell in 2002. The site lay in an area of recent ploughing and tree planting. Some large stones were noted in the vicinity but none that appeared structural. Surface finds included 19th century glass and pottery.
