Full Description
Remains of a lime kiln, depicted on the OS 1st edition map, lie in a wooded area. Site visit 2003 noted a depression over 6m in diameter on the steep bank above the road. The front structure of the kiln has collapsed and the draw hole is missing. The outline of the bowl partially infilled with collapsed stonework is visible under turf and grass.
