Full Description
Pits recorded during a watching brief and excavation carried out by Network Archaeology in 2016 during groundworks for construction of a high pressure gas pipeline between Old Rayne and Jericho (NJ62NE0167). Three pits and a large sub-rectangular feature were recorded. Two of the pits produced heat-affected material, possibly indicating hearth or cooking waste, but no certain function was ascertained for the pits.
