Full Description
Site of a stone circle which was removed circa 1835. The S Name Book (1967) noted that it was formerly of four stones of which three had been broken up and the fourth built into a nearby wall. Beneath one of the stones was a recess shaped like a cist, but larger, possibly indicating a removed cist. It was filled with ashes. Large stones of pink Bennachie granite, probably from this circle, occur in neighbouring dykes. Nothing is now visible of this circle.
