Full Description
A single pit recorded during a watching brief carried out by Network Archaeology in 2016 during groundworks for construction of a high pressure gas pipeline between Old Rayne and Jericho (NJ62NE0167). The pit was irregularly shaped, containing heat-affected patches and charcoal. Four fragments of later prehistoric pottery were recovered. It was not clear that the pit was archaeological in origin.
