Full Description
Three dispersed pits recorded during a watching brief carried out by Network Archaeology in 2016 during groundworks for construction of a high pressure gas pipeline between Old Rayne and Jericho (NJ62NE0167). Excavation concluded that two were probably archaeological features, although there was no evidence for their function or date. The third pit was most likely naturally formed.
