Full Description
A single pit, possibly a hearth, recorded during a watching brief carried out by Network Archaeology in 2016 during groundworks for construction of a high pressure gas pipeline between Old Rayne and Jericho (NJ62NE0167). The pit, which was heat-affected, measured circa 1m in diameter and was 1m deep. Inits centre were two lathe flat stones, one on the other. A single sherd of prehistoric pottery was recovered from topsoil.
