Full Description
Site of a chapel. The OS Name Book (1866) records ruins which were traditionally an Episcopalian Church dating from the time Episcopacy was first established in Scotland, and burnt by Highlanders retreating from the Duke of Cumberland in 1746. A light area is visible as a crop mark in the area, as well as several pits, on a vertical aerial photograph taken in 1976. It is depicted as ruined on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps.
