Full Description
Site of cairn. A large cist was found within it in 1745, but not known if it contained anything. The OS Name Book (1867) records that it was removed by the farmer in about 1827 (another source gives a date of 1816), but the slabs were still to be seen built into an adjoining fence. A flat stone built into wall at NJ56425141 is reputed to be the capstone.
Period Notes
Removed before 1816.
