Full Description
Site of a well. A well is said to have been situated near New Balloch in Ruthven, but its exact location is no longer known. It was allegedly named after Sir Thomas Gordon of Ruthven who was said to have challenged and killed a monk who had offended him. An effigy is built into a recess in the wall of Ruthven Church. No further information.
