Full Description

Site of a mound of earth and stones, 10.97 m northwest of a stone circle (NJ52NE0004). It consisted of rich black soil and stones, some marked by fire. In its centre was a pit, placed length-wise. At the North end was a large stone, laid across and level with ground, below which the pit end was built in with smaller stones. The pit measured 1.82 m long by 1 m wide by 0.76 m deep, the stone 1.52 m long.
