Full Description
It was a single platform terminal station with a long, 7-bay, 1-storey, rubble platform building. The signal box was opened in 1895. The station building was demolished after the line was closed in 1965.
The station building which now stands on the site of the original was built in the 1970s to serve a new narrow-gauge railway running to Haughton Park.
