Full Description
Site of cairn and stone circle. The stones were removed for the building of the new house of Letterfourie in the 18th century . The OS Name Book (1867) also records that a number of huge stones forming a circle (also called the Core Stanes) had stood near the farmhouse of Greenbank some 30 years previously. Nothing now remains of circle.
