Full Description
Site of small cairns. According to the OS Name Book (1860) these were supposed to be burial cairns of the dead following a 15th century battle between Donald, Lord of the Isles, and Royalist forces under the Earl of Mar. OS site visit in 1967 found no trace in the area. Judging by the topographical situation they were probably stone clearance heaps.
Period Notes
Battle 1411.
