Full Description
Site of cairn depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps which also note that 'Stone Cists, Urns, Trinkets and Roman Medals found AD 1750'. Two stone cists containing ashes were found while cutting trenches through the large cairn in 1750 to remove it for building dykes. RCAHMS site visit 1997 noted that nothing is now visible in this field.
