Full Description
A watching brief was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2012 during groundworks for a new access track and compound for a windfarm. Two ditches were identified close to where the new access track met the existing road. One ditch was narrow (0.69m), shallow (0.4m deep) and flat based. The other was larger (4.85m wide and 0.7m deep), also with a flat base. They appear to be of post-medieval date, the smaller probably an open drainage ditch, the larger a former field boundary predating the OS 1st edition mapping.
