Full Description
Site of pits. A late 19th century source records that all around Kennie's Hillock were found a number of pits, some of which were 3.65 m (12 ft) in diameter and filled with ashes and cinders beneath a foot or two of soil. A few have been dug into but only ashes and burnt stones were found. The area has since been under cultivation and no trace has been found.
