Full Description
Site of cairn. It was a mound of earth surrounded at base by two rows of huge boulders, some of which remained in situ in 1870. The cairn itself was virtually removed by 1794 when a cinerary urn (suggested to be intrusive) was found 2 feet from surface. It contained ashes and a gold penannular armlet formed from a solid rod.
