Full Description

Site of an alleged church and well. A church at Balvenie was said to be associated with St Walach who died circa 733 AD. St Bean who lived before 800 AD is also associated with Balvenie. OS site visit6 1971 noted there was then no local knowledge of the church. A well is said to have been here which cured various diseases, but although the tradition survives the site is unknown.
