Full Description
An archaeological field reconnaissance survey and fencing off of known sites (at Rosarie Mill and cottages) was carried out in March 2010 by CFA at the proposed development site of Drummuir Wind Farm. Recorded sites are of a sufficient distance from planned turbine locations and access tracks to ensure that there is no risk of disturbance. An archaeological watching brief was carried out in 2011 by CFA during ground works for construction of access tracks and turbine bases in the vicinity of an administrative boundary marker. There were no features, deposits or artefacts of archaeological significance identified during the watching brief. The demarcated sites were re-visited in 2011 to assess their baseline condition following completion of construction and there was found to be no change.
