Full Description

Site of manor. A farm now stands on the site. Built into one of the walls are two carved stones. One is an armorial panel with letters 'VIRTUE ET..' carved on it. The other is initialled AD beneath an open rose and dated 1690. These may have belonged to the earlier manor house. The farm is no longer in use and only used for storage. The farmhouse has had its roof removed, the windows blocked up and converted to a barn. The farm is depicted on the 1st edition OS map as a rectangular block with a central open court. A small building lies to the west. It remains similar on the later 1888 edition but there are now two single buildings to the east and northeast.
