Full Description

Remains of posts set into barrels as a defensive measure against glider landings during World War II. Recorded by Forestry Commission, and by site visit during Moray Community Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (CCZAS) in June 2022. Also a cluster of more than 50 small wooden stakes centred NJ1111868073, standing circa 0.3-0.4 m above the sand and clustered often less than 1 m apart. Some of the posts may relate to fishing rather than defences.
