Full Description
Approximate location of aircraft crash-site. On 27 February 1945, Wellington LN557 crashed in Seatown, Lossiemouth, badly damaging many houses and killing six of the crew. The plane from 20 Operational Training Unit had been taking part in a night exercise. The rear gunner escaped as did all the inhabitants of the houses. No.18 Seatown was badly damaged with three outhouses totally demolished.
