Full Description
A walkover survey was carried out by AOC Archaeology in August 2019 in advance of proposed housing development. Two areas of agricultural land on either side of Pitgaveny Road, centred on NJ 22750 63814, were assessed and no archaeological sites were identified, however there is potential for buried archaeological remains to survive. A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by AOC Archaeology in August 2020 ahead of the proposed development. Four possible postholes, two possible oval pits and a linear feature were recorded, also an expansive deposit of made ground.
