Full Description
Trial trenching in 1976 in advance of the relief road recovered around 100 abraded sherds of medieval pottery. Natural sand recorded at a depth of circa 0.8 m. It was suggested that the pottery had been deposited as manuring scatter and abraded over time by ploughing.
