Summary
A watching brief was carried out in June 2012 by AOC over the excavation of a single test pit (centred on circa NJ2208 6317) during site site preparation works for the proposed erection of two new dwellinghouses within the grounds of North College.

Full Description
A watching brief was carried out in June 2012 by AOC over the excavation of a single test pit (centred on circa NJ2208 6317) during site site preparation works for the proposed erection of two new dwellinghouses within the grounds of North College. The test pit measured 1 x 0.5 m, and was 0.7 m deep. No finds or features of archaeological significance were recorded. A trial trenching evaluation was requested prior to the main proposed development works going ahead, but it is not known when this work will take place.
