Full Description

A probable Neolithic settlement and flint working site is thought to have stood in the same 8 acre field where a number of flint artefacts have been found after ploughing. It was possible to identify the vortices of the scatters of flint flakes. A number of black patches proved to be beds of ashes, where sherds of Neolithic pottery were recovered from these probable pits. Burnt stones and oyster shells were also recovered.
