Full Description
Site of a tumulus or barrow. It comprised a pile of large stones heaped together at the foot of a barrow. Underneath lay a bowl-shaped space filled with clay with a deposit of ashes and charcoal beneath. Removed by the tenant farmer in the 19th Century.
