Full Description

Remains of probable fishing stations, comprising dozens of stakes and at least one oak barrel filled with cobbles embedded in a peat deposit. The peat deposit is large and irregular, approximately 22.5ha in extent, although the amount of peat visible at any one time varies as sand and silt is moved by wave action. The large expanses of peat were not visible during site visit in June 2022 as part of the SCAPE Community Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (CCZAS), although some small areas of pear were noted amongst the clusters of wooden posts.
