Full Description
A U-shaped farmstead with open court to the south, is depicted at this location on the OS 1st edition map. A small single building to the south is marked as a smithy. Two attached enclosures lie to the north. By the time of the 2nd edition the buildings had gone although the area they stood in survived as an enclosure. A deposit containing slag and postholes recorded during trial trenching evaluation in 2021 (NJ26NW0155) may have been associated with the smithy.
