Full Description
Site of a sand pit, depicted on the 1st edition OS map. On the time of the 2nd edition OS map it is shown as 'Old Sand Pit'. Not shown on the current edition OS map. Site visit during a walkover survey by Highland Archaeology Services in November 2021 (NJ25SE0065) noted that the feature was not clearly visible, with the area having agricultural cuttings and ditches.
