Full Description
Site of a well depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. The OS Name Book (1867) records that a holy well said to be the site of a chapel was swept away by the River Spey. OS site visit 1967 found no trace of well. The site is marked by a marshy hollow, the well probably being buried by mud within it. There is no trace and no local knowledge of chapel.
ORDNANCE SURVEY, 1871, Ordnance Name Book, (1869) 60 (Bibliographic reference). SAB1360.
