Cup and Ring marked rocks.

Cup and Ring marked rocks. There are seven flat outcrops in an area measuring about 25 m by 10 m. In February 1972 they were visited by OS, noting that two of the outcrops were cup-marked, whilst three were recorded as cup-marked in October 2018 by Scotland's Rock Art Project, with a fourth believed to have natural features. The largest measures 4.2 m x 2.1 m, rises to a height of 0.65 m and is roughly rectangular in shape, with 23 cup-marks of varying size, with one of the larger ones having a radial groove. There are also six cups with single rings, one cup with a gapped ring and radial groove, a keyhole motif, three cups with two rings and radial grooves, one cup with three rings and a radial extending from the inner ring, a rosette of peck marks and random peck marks and incisions. There is an artificially cut rectangular hollow with a sloping base, measuring 18 cm x 8 cm and 8 cm deep, which is possibly a mould. Another outcrop, circa 19 m to the southwest, measures 3.4 m x 2.1 m to a height of 0.5 m, with 10 cup-marks on its upper surface. A third outcrop to the north measures 1.65 m x 1.35 m to a height of 0.2 m, with 10 cup-marks, one dumbell, a rosette of peckmarks, and modern graffiti of 'GG'. A fourth outcrop to the east measures 2.9 m x 1.4 m to a maximum height of 0.6 m, with natural features including a series of small hollows forming a rosette shape, and modern graffiti of 'GG' on the south side.
